Notes

GST-279 is a full-suspension frame of printed lugs on carbon tubes, which I modelled in Autodesk Fusion. A rocker link drives a coil shock, and the chain runs around idler pulleys. Section views show how the carbon tubes slot into the lugs and how a pivot's bearing sits in its housing.

An earlier mock-up put printed lugs in blue, white and grey on carbon tubes. A head tube lug with two round sockets was printed in yellow and in dark grey, a lug was set up for printing with supports, and red printed jig plates bolt onto the junctions.

The front triangle has grey printed lugs on carbon tubes. In the rear triangle, carbon seat stays joined by a printed yoke meet red tubes at printed dropout ends.
